“GRAINS OF HOPE/STREET POETS – Saving Lives One Rhyme at a Time” is a feature length documentary about Chris Henrikson, a writer who unexpectedly changed his life after teaching a poetry workshop in a juvenile detention camp. After building strong connections with the guys he met there, Chris decided to commit his life working with them but the stronger the relationships, the more challenging and harder his role as a mentor has got over the years. Taylor, David and Brandon are still figuring out their lives, healing from a difficult past. Brought together by a great spirit of brotherhood and community, they still have to overcome many obstacles to make their dreams and hope come true.
